Deuteronomy 4:23

We are always being formed by something or someone. Israel’s compromise in the book of Judges reminds us that who and what we give our trust, loyalty, and worship to, even in small or seemingly reasonable ways, can shape who we become. This divided allegiance and subtle compromise has a cost, as it always leads us away from God.
